Walking in L.A.

Not my favorite place to get to, but once I'm there I hate to admit that I kinda like L.A. The Garment District in particular is fascinating and I love seeing the street fashion, the eptiome of urban chic and budding tastes and styles on soon to be designers. I was at FIDM for business on Thursday (more on that in a future post) and remembered how much I love big city living. I saw this cool bookstore and had to have a photo. Other recommendations include Bottega Louie (http://www.bottegalouie.com/) for an elegant meal or drink and then Baby Cakes (http://www.babycakesnyc.com/) or Crumbs (http://www.crumbs.com/) for dessert. It's also worth stopping at the FIDM scholarship store for great deals on clothes, jewelry, accessories, and fabric. All proceeds benefit FIDM scholarships for students.
